Sabbath School

Here we are at Sabbath School- Meadowglade Adventist Church. Starts at 9:30 am and it is hard to be there this early!!

I'm back to work

I'm back to cleaning teeth and working two days a week. I shed a few tears the first day I had to leave Owen and head into the office. But after getting more used to this new schedule, I'm finding that I really missed working: well I missed the patients and my co-workers. At first I felt guilty for not feeling more sadness from being away from Owen for two days a week. After having him I felt like my life was turned totally upside down (in a good way) but nonetheless it was TOTALLY different. And going back to work brought back some of my old life and it felt great! I am able to find three breaks for pumping and still keep on schedule. My hands and back do need to get used to working 8-9 hours again though...they got lazy.
Owen is with Grama Fleck on Tuesday's and home with Daddy on Wednesday's so I know he is in good hands and this is what really helps me to go back to work with a smile! He takes a bottle very well but since then has really started being a lazy breastfeeder. So we still struggle with this but thats how it goes.
Milestones
Owen is still spitting up and drooling all over the place!! Burp cloths and bibs are a must around this house.
He can roll from side to side but not completely over yet.
He can grab a hold of toys and bring them to his mouth to "check out", he even likes to grab his toes now.
He loves to watch everything thats going on in the room- his brain is just like a sponge-taking everything in.
He likes to chatter and talk.

Update for March 09

So I'm gonna get better about posting updates on this thing! Life gets so crazy and lately I find myself having little time to spend on the computer.
March was a very bittersweet month really. My dad was hospitalized at the beginning of the month with pneumonia and was quite sick. The doctors thought forsure he would need surgery which wasn't good news because his heart condition made him very "high risk". I attribute his healing nothing short of a miracle since the treatment he recieved ended up working with no surgery needed. He came home from the hospital on Ricky's 30th birthday- March 19th~ We are very thankful for all your prayers!
Owen really started mellowing out around 3 months of life. He was sleeping good at night and his sessions of crying were becoming a thing of the past. Ricky was especially thankful for this since he was the designated "bedtime" parent. He did so well with our little man and I was so thankful for his patience (for which I didn't have most days). Overall he is a happy baby and we are thorougly enjoying him. He coos and talks all the time to us and his smile can really light up a room.
